SpecMetrix® In-line Coating Measurement Systems

SpecMetrix offers exclusive in-line coating thickness measurement systems for coating and production lines. Designed to provide non-contact, non-destructive and real-time thickness measurements for applied coatings.

SpecMetrix non-contact, non-destructive Traversing Inline Coating and Film Thickness Measurement System is suitable for flexible and coil industries. It can deliver real-time coating and layer thickness measurement data to sub-micron level immediately following application. The system can measure coated film weight in real time in wet state, reducing set-up and changeover time which increases production output and reduced cost. SpecMetrix in-line systems provide manufacturing and QA teams with feedback on coating quality immediately following application, improving coating process control and product quality. The system can be configured as single traversing or dual traversing system.

SpecMetrix ACS System is suitable for 2-piece can manufacturers, canneries and coating suppliers. It can measure inside spray and over varnish on print accurately and non-destructive. • Single can: The ACS-1 System can measure the coatings of single cans, using either a 90° or flexible angle probe, and is well suited for container QA, R&D and coating supplier use.

• Multiple cans: The ACS-10 System provides plant teams with the flexibility to measure 1 to 10 containers in batches in the lab or can be tested on production floor environments.
